About the Towada Art Center
The Towada Art Center, opened in 2008, was founded on the concept of an “open art museum” that bridges the gap between the white cube and the community. With exhibition rooms arranged along the streets and expansive glass windows, the museum dissolves the boundaries between inside and outside, permanently showcasing large-scale installations by internationally acclaimed artists. It is a place where visitors can experience both art and the city as one seamless environment.
Outside the museum stands Yoshitomo Nara’s Yoroshiku Girl 2012, a beloved spot where visitors often strike the same pose for photos.

Cube Café & Shop
The Cube Café & Shop is the museum’s dedicated shop and café, located inside the Towada Art Center.
The name “cube” is inspired by the museum’s white, cube-shaped architecture.
The shop offers a wide variety of items for sale, including museum-exclusive goods, products related to featured artists, designer-created merchandise, unique Towada crafts, locally made artisan pieces, and specialty foods—perfect as a memorable souvenir or a gift from your visit.
In addition to the Museum’s collection, the Museum Shop offers a selection of original N’s YARD items.
