Visiting N’s YARD Using Public Transportation in April to November 2026

From April to November, the local bus service operates on a summer schedule.
If you are planning to visit N’s YARD using public transportation from April to November 2026, see below for information on how to access the venue from Nasushiobara Station.

Note that timetables for the trip back to the station and maps showing departure points can be found toward the end of this news update.

Main Public Transportation Options from Nasushiobara Station:

1. Local Bus (Itamuro Line):

　・Fare: ¥820 one-way from Nasushiobara Station
　・No reservation required
　・Limited number of departure times (see timetable below)

2. Taxi:

　・Fare: Approximately ¥4,500 one-way from Nasushiobara Station
　・No reservation required; hail at taxi stand
　・Travel time: Approximately 20–30 minutes

3. Yutaku (Shared Taxi):

　・Fare: ¥200 one way
　・Limited number of departure times (see timetable below)
　・Advance reservation required
　　Please contact us by email and we will make the reservation on your behalf
　　Reservation must be made at least one day in advance
　・Travel time: Approximately 20–30 minutes

Details by Transportation Type:

1. Local Bus (Itamuro Line):

  1. Operated by Kanto Bus.
  2. The bus departs from Bus Stop No. 3 outside Nasushiobara Station’s west exit and passes the west exit of Kuroiso Station. The bus’s destination is Itamuro Onsen.
  3. The nearest stop to N’s YARD is Aoki Besso-mae.
  4. Adult fare: ¥820 from Nasushiobara Station or ¥540 from Kuroiso Station, one-way.
  5. Note: Timetables may differ depending on the type of day (weekday, weekend, or public holiday, including the Obon period of August 13–16). Please check the relevant timetable in advance.

For buses returning to the station: Please note that arrival times may vary due to traffic conditions.
We recommend giving yourself a bit of extra time when traveling.
During busy seasons, delays can happen, so if your bus doesn’t arrive right on time, please stay at the stop and wait a little longer.

2. Taxi:

  1. Taxis are available at the Nasushiobara Station and Kuroiso Station taxi stands.
  2. Tell the driver that your destination is N’s YARD.
    If the driver is unfamiliar with N’s YARD, mention “Meiji-no-Mori Kuroiso” as a reference point.
  3. Travel time: Approximately 20–30 minutes.
  4. Fare: Approximately ¥3,500–¥4,500 one-way.

3. Yutaku (Shared Taxi):

The Yutaku service is not available without an advance reservation.

N’s YARD can make a reservation on your behalf. Reservations must be made at least one day before the date of the ride. Because N’s YARD is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as any international time differences, please send the necessary information to N’s YARD via email at least three days before your visit. If you need to cancel, please email us no later than the day before.

Please provide the following:

  • Your name:
  • Date and time of your ride:
  • Number of passengers:
  • Boarding location: Nasushiobara Station (Shinkansen accessible) or Kuroiso Station
  • Your phone number:

Note: Yutaku requires that the driver is able to reach you on the day of travel.
If you do not have a phone number, we will provide N’s YARD phone number instead.

If you’re comfortable sharing, please let us know which country you are coming from and what you look like (e.g., “a tall man with a beard” or “a woman with short red hair”), so the driver can identify you more easily.

  • • Arrive at the boarding location before the scheduled time.
  • • Wait at the Yutaku stop at the west exit of Nasushiobara or Kuroiso Station.
  • • Confirm your destination with the driver before boarding.
  • • Fare: ¥200 one-way. Pay the driver directly with cash.

• In Japanese, “Yutaku” is written ゆータク. The logo is shown below:

Return Options:

Due to the limited number of bus departures, Yutaku is a convenient option for returning. Same-day reservations are available for Yutaku departures at 4:15 PM and 5:37 PM, as long as we make your reservation before 3:00 PM or 4:20 PM, respectively. Our staff can assist you with reservations at the reception desk.

Note that return Yutaku services terminate at Kuroiso Station, one stop from Nasushiobara Station on the JR Utsunomiya Line.

When choosing your return time and method, consider how much time you plan to spend at N’s YARD and whether you plan to visit Meiji-no-Mori Kuroiso.

  1. Visitors typically spend about 30 minutes in N’s YARD’s exhibition rooms. Shorter visits can last only 15 minutes, while longer ones can last over an hour. N’s YARD also has a café and a shop.
  2. Meiji no Mori Kuroiso is a neighboring roadside station with a farmers’ market offering fresh local produce, a restaurant, and a soft-serve ice cream shop.

Local buses bound for Nasushiobara Station also stop at Kuroiso Station.

Taxi

Taxis can be booked on the day of your visit. Please give the reception staff your name, the number of passengers in your party, and your destination. We will call and book a taxi for you.
It usually takes 15–20 minutes for a taxi to arrive. It may take 30 minutes or more during busy periods, so please allow extra time.
Please note that taxi companies add a surcharge of ¥500 to the fare for a return trip from N’s YARD. As a result, the total fare for the return trip is approximately ¥4,000 if traveling from N’s YARD to Kuroiso Station, or approximately ¥5,000 if traveling from N’s YARD to Nasushiobara Station.
